MID-CENTURY DANISH MODERN FAT LAUREL CORK TABLE LAMP EC THIS IS A LARGE "LOW AND FAT" TABLE LAMP manufactured by Laurel in the late 60s or 70s This Laurel sculptural table lamp is in overall good to excellent vintage condition. The base is cork and gold-tone cast metal. Laurel would use cast silver-tone metal hardware and add brass/gold tones on the top layer of the metal. There is one discoloration on the metal "cap" of the lamp, where the gold-tone rubbed off. It is on the backside and not glaringly noticeble. The flaw is appx 1" long and narrow. Looks like someone tried to cover it with some marker at some time. The last picture shows this flaw. Otherwise the base is in pristine condition. The cork is in fantastic condition.... the lamp overall presents beautifully! The electric componets have been inspected and found to be in perfect working order. Mid-Century Modern George Nelson Bubble Lamp Cigar Shape You are bidding on a vintage George Nelson Bubble Lamp. It has what I believe is called a cigar shape. It is approximately 10” in diameter at the widest point.It is approximately 14" tall (long). As you can see from the pictures, there is some discoloration apparent when the lamp is lit. The pictures show it lit with a 100 watt light bulb. There is enough cord to allow it to hang 4 feet. It turns on and off with a pull chain inside the bubble.
