The design and attention to detail are evident from every angle. Particularly, how the top and case appear to be suspended between the flared legs. The finish is in very good condition. As we have refinished the top in our restoration shop. The rest of the finish appears original and is showing only slight wear consistent with age. The desk measures 51" wide by 27" deep by 29" tall. On either side of the suspended case are two dovetailed drawers. They sport the original brass key plates, locks and we have a key. The knee hole space measures 17" wide by 27.5" tall. On the front side of the desk are bookcase spaces that measure 13" wide by 10" tall. Between them is another space behind a drop down lid, (Most likely designed to be used as a mini bar).A superior specimen, both in terms of design and condition.
